jamesgiraffe I'm only on track four, but I love this. We've had remix CD compilations of remixes of your songs done by other people, but never a compilation of remixes that you've done for other people / groups / artists. What a genius idea, and I'm going to check out the original versions of these tracks too. I love discovering new music. Thank you so much for this.

This compilation was inspired by a re-issue of a remix we were asked to re-master, a track called ‘Maro Jailo’ by the Rajasthani group Maharajah. This set us off going through all the remixes we’d done over TGU’s 30 year history and we wondered; could we remember them all?

So we started compiling a long, long list. We can’t be sure we got to the end of it, but we’re pretty close.

We then realised that, while most of the remixes we’ve done can be found on Spotify and/or youtube, quite a few had disappeared through the cracks in the paving stones. We’ve found and restored a bunch of them and added some more we did for some good friends, who've kindly given us permission to include them here.

So there’s mixes we did for DJ Click, Oojami, Recycler, Dub Colossus, Long Gone Blonde (who are on the subscription!) some early ones, some later ones and some we don’t altogether remember doing….which has made it more fun for us to go through them all….
